The Role

The Sales Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organisation with a focus on efficient invoicing, timely payment collection, maintaining accurate financial records in Xero and Salesforce, and ensuring optimal management of channel cash flow and P&L. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, exceptional organisational skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

We require a minimum commitment of 20-hours per week but hours can be flexed. There may be times and points, when more hours are required. The role can be fully remote but we do encourage one in-person day in the office a month and attending any company wide days/events.

Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Accounting

  • Compliance with UK GAAP
  • Monthly management accounts
  • VAT returns
  • Oversight of bookkeeping, expenses, bank reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, billing and revenue collection
  • Monthly payroll
  • Maintain pension provider relationship

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Identifying budget and cashflow variances, causes, and solutions
  • Maintaining and monitoring financial forecasts (P&L and cashflow) and KPIs

Forecasting and Performance Management:

  • Facilitate budget process, drive accountability and visibility
  • Provide assistance with building financial models and forecasts

Requirements:

What we are looking for

You will have demonstrated outstanding ability in team work and understand how to set up processes to make the business run more proficiently at scale, from a finance perspective.

You will have great attention to detail and operationally you will be you will be organized, motivated, excellent at managing your own time.

Experience required

  • Qualified to minimum AAT
  • Proven experience (minimum 2 years) in a similar finance management role, preferably at a startup within MarTech
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and tools, particularly Xero and Salesforce.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Prior experience in managing channel cash flow and P&L is highly desirable.
